Akasa Air discloses user information data exposure

Akasa Air, which launched commercial operations on August 7, has reported the incident to India's CERT-In agency and informed affected users. Records show there was “no intentional hacking attempt”, the airline said. “The situation was reported by a research expert through a journalist, for which the airline is grateful. At Akasa Air, system security and protection of customer information is paramount. Our focus always is to provide a secure and reliable customer experience,” Akasa Air chief information officer, Anand Srinivasan, said. “While extensive protocols are in place to prevent incidents of such a nature, we have taken additional measures to ensure the security of all our systems is even more enhanced.”
