India’s newest airline, Akasa Air, will inaugurate nonstop Ahmedabad and Bengaluru to Delhi flights on October 7. Read More » India’s capital city will be Akasa's sixth destination since it launched commercial operations on August 7. The airline will be operating about 250 flights a week, flown with nine aircraft, by October 10. Akasa’s fleet is planned to reach 18 737 MAX family aircraft by year-end. “As Indian air travellers continue to return to flying in promising numbers, Delhi is witnessing a significant revival in passenger traffic,” Akasa Air chief commercial officer, Praveen Iyer, said. “We look forward to catering to growing demand and to adding destinations to our network.”
