China’s regulator confirms 737 MAX meeting with Boeing executives

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) met with Boeing representatives on September 14 to discuss an aircraft operation review of the 737 MAX. Read More » In a website statement, the CAAC said the meeting, held at Zhoushan in Zhejiang, examined improved training specifications for the type. The CAAC has yet to clear the MAX for Mainland flying after it grounded the type in 2019 following two fatal MAX crashes. Last December, it published an airworthiness directive that detailed changes operators of the 737 MAX must make to return the type to Mainland skies. The CAAC’s confirmation of the meeting followed Boeing’s decision to remarket 737 MAXs built but not delivered to several of China’s carriers.
