India posts 4.2% domestic passenger growth for August

Once again, LCC IndiGo was India's leading domestic carrier for the month, with 5.8 million passengers transported or 57.7% of the domestic market. Vistara claimed second place with 981,000 million passengers flown, or 9.7% market share. GoFirst was third with 870,000 passengers (8.6% market share). In pre-COVID August 2019, India's airlines carried 11.8 million domestic passengers.
