Airbus CEO committed to a production target of 75 A320s a month

Airbus CEO, Guillaume Faury, has reaffirmed the global aerospace giant's plans to lift production of its A320 family aircraft to 65 a month early next year and to 75 aircraft a month by 2025. Read More » In the near term, the company is on track to build 50 A320 family aircraft a month by year end, Faury said at an Airbus capital markets day briefing on September 23. The OEM also is adhering to its goal of delivering 700 aircraft to customers in 2022, Faury said. In the first eight months of this year, Airbus has delivered 382 commercial aircraft. The 700 aircraft target was “manageable”, based on visibility the company has with its supply chain partners, he said. “But I will not tell you it is easy.”
