Airbus has added a second A321XLR narrow-body to the type's flight test fleet. Flight tracking websites report the Pratt &Whitney geared turbofan engine powered aircraft, registration F-WWBZ, made its maiden flight out of Hamburg's Finkenwerder Airport on September 23.

A 20-member international advisory panel has delivered a report to the Singapore’s government that details 15 key initiatives for decarbonising the country’s aviation sector. “I hope this report can serve as a useful guide for Singapore in developing its Sustainable Air Hub Blueprint and for other stakeholders and international parties pursuing sustainable aviation,” the panel chair, Singapore University of Technology and Design president, Professor Chong Tow Chong, said.

GKN Aerospace has opened a MRO facility in Malaysia’s Johor to service low-pressure compressor components on CFM56-5B, CFM56-7 and V2500 engines.

Tata Group airlines Air India, AirAsia India and Vistara have signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding with India's Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Indian Institute of Petroleum to develop sustainable aviation fuel.
