British Airways and Qatar Airways expand joint agreement

British Airways (BA) and Qatar Airways have enlarged their joint network to destinations in 42 new countries across Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Read More » The partnership now covers 185 destinations in more than 60 countries, a statement from the two carriers said. “From idyllic holiday hotspots such as the Maldives and Thailand to business hubs like Singapore, we are pleased to open up the world as the travel industry makes steps towards recovery,” BA CEO, Sean Doyle, said. Qatar Airways group CEO, Akbar Al Baker, added: “The growing collaboration between Qatar Airways and British Airways shows our customers our common goal is to offer an unparalleled network with unique benefits.” The two oneworld alliance members said cooperation on a small number of routes will require regulatory approval.
