Singapore Airlines and Scoot builds East Asia and Indonesia

Read More » “Buoyed by the further easing of entry requirements in the Hong Kong SAR, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and China, we are seeing strong demand for air travel towards the year-end holiday season,” SIA senior vice president for marketing planning, JoAnn Tan, said. “Many customers are especially keen on destinations that have remained largely closed in the last few years.” The SIA group “will be nimble in adjusting our services in response to the demand for air travel”, she said. From October 30, SIA will increase frequency on its Singapore-Tokyo service to twice daily to both Haneda and Narita. Singapore-Osaka Kansai will lift to twice daily on the same date. Scoot is resuming nonstop Singapore to Hangzhou, Zhengzhou and Wuhan this month and commencing flights to Lombok, Makassar, Pekanbaru and Yogyakarta in Indonesia. The airline group expects to be operating to 110 destinations in 36 countries by November 1, up from 99 destinations at August 31.
