Korean Air (KAL) has announced WestJet will add the Canadian airline's WS code on nonstop Seoul Incheon-Toronto. Read More » “We are delighted to expand our codeshare partnership with our long-standing partner WestJet. We look forward to delivering unparalleled services across the Pacific to our valued customers,” KAL senior vice president and head of international affairs and alliances, Tae Joon Kim, said. “We remain committed to bridging Canada, Korea and Asia through our hub at Incheon Airport.” WestJet said it is the airline's first reciprocal codeshare with an Asian carrier. “We have had a strong codeshare with Korean Air since 2012. We are very pleased to be taking this important step with a world-class partner,” WestJet chief commercial officer, John Weatherill, said. “We are looking forward to the new opportunities our now reciprocal codeshare will bring to consumers travelling between Canada and Asia.”
