Changi Airport Group (CAG) executive vice president of airport management, Tan Lye Teck, ranked the reopening of Terminal 2's (T2) departures hall as another important chapter in Changi Airport’s recovery from the pandemic. Read More » T2’s southern wing began processing departing passengers on Tuesday. “The additional capacity will support airlines as they rebuild their networks in response to fast recovering air travel demand,” he said. “Changi has been through a lot in the past two plus years and we are happy to welcome back more passengers,” Tan said. “We wish to thank travellers for their patience and understanding. We also would like to thank the entire airport community for working with us on this journey and for their resilience and contributions to Changi.” Seventeen Singapore Airlines flights departed from T2 on Tuesday, CAG said, and added Air India is scheduled to commence departures from T2 on October 18.
