Air New Zealand upgrades economy class offerings to Honolulu, Perth and Tahiti

From October 30, all Air New Zealand (Air NZ) economy class passengers traveling between their home country and Honolulu, Perth and Tahiti will have meals, IFE and a checked baggage allowance included in their fares. Read More » The upgraded package will bring the three destinations into line with the rest of the carrier’s long-haul network. “Talking with customers we have heard loud and clear there is a need for a consistent Air New Zealand experience so changes to our Seats to Suit product have been made to enhance the customer experience,” Air NZ general manager for short haul, Jeremy O'Brien, said. “The majority of our customers on these services already purchase The Works, with only around 5% buying a seat only fare. Ensuring everyone can enjoy a meal from our delicious new menu is a better overhaul on board experience and streamlines the process for our crew and customers.” Previously, customers booking flights to the three destinations had the choice of economy fares with or without a checked bag allowance, meals and IFE.
