All Nippon Airways records 2.7 million domestic passengers for September

All Nippon Airways (ANA) flew 2.7 million passengers on its domestic network in September, down 16.1% from the 3.2 million customers it transported in August. Read More » Despite the decline, the numbers were more than double the 1.1 million domestic passengers ANA carried in September last year. Both ANA and its rival, Japan Airlines (JAL), said the recent uptick in daily COVID-19 cases impacted demand. ANA’s domestic passenger load factor for the 30 days was 60.2% compared with 67.5% in August and 37.4% in September 2021. When compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, the 2.7 million ANA in-country passengers for September represented 67.6% of the 3.9 million domestic passengers the Star Alliance airline carried in September 2019.
