All Nippon Airways records 2.7 million domestic passengers for September

All Nippon Airways (ANA) flew 2.7 million passengers on its domestic network in September, down 16.1% from the 3.2 million customers it transported in August. Both ANA and its rival, Japan Airlines (JAL), said the recent uptick in daily COVID-19 cases impacted demand. ANA’s domestic passenger load factor for the 30 days was 60.2% compared with 67.5% in August and 37.4% in September 2021. When compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, the 2.7 million ANA in-country passengers for September represented 67.6% of the 3.9 million domestic passengers the Star Alliance airline carried in September 2019.
