Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has reported a net profit of US$100 million for the three months to September 30, unchanged from the same months in 2021. Revenue increased by 7%, to US$561.3 million, ALC said in a regulatory filing. “Global passenger traffic, along with airline revenue trends and yields, remain on a solid recovery path with little sign of abatement despite global economic and geopolitical factors,” ALC CEO, John Plueger, said.
China Development Bank Financial Leasing Co. (CDB) said its CDB Aviation Lease Finance subsidiary reached an agreement with Airbus to purchase two A321s and lease them to South America-based Avianca. The purchase is an amendment to an agreement the lessor signed in 2017 with the manufacturer covering 45 A320neo family aircraft.
Pratt & Whitney said China Eastern Airlines has extended its fleet hour agreement for about 100 V2500 engines on the Shanghai-based carrier’s 50 A320/A321ceo aircraft.
