China Southern Airlines closing chapter on A380 operations?

China Southern Airlines (CSA) has likely operated the last commercial flights of its fleet of A380s, according to media reports based on Cirium scheduling data. Read More » The carrier's most recent A380 departure from its home hub of Guangzhou was on November 5 when B-6139, operating as CZ327, took off for Los Angeles, landing about 12 hours later. The aircraft flew its reciprocal CZ382 service from Los Angeles to China on November 6. There are no more A380-operated flights in CSA's schedule. The Mainland’s largest airline has parked two of the type at the U.S.’s Mojave Desert aircraft storage facility where they await parting out. One A380 is at CSA in Guangzhou and last flew in October, while B-6139 and B-6140 remain listed as active on aircraft tracking websites.
