Brisbane Airport is consulting airlines about the construction of another terminal at the Queensland capital city airport. It is forecast passengers processed through the airport will reach 50 million a year by 2040. The airport's domestic and international terminals handled 24.1 million passengers in calendar 2019, the last full year of pre-pandemic operations.

Embraer has recorded a net loss of US$30.2 million for the three months to September 30, a reduction from a net loss of US$45 million in the same three months in 2021. Revenue was down 3%, to US$929 million, Embraer said in a regulatory filing. The company's updated financial guidance said free cash flow is expected to be US$150 million or more in calendar 2022 compared with its previous forecast of US$50 million or more. This was mainly due to improved operating margins, better management of working capital and tax efficiency, it said.
