Boeing forecasts demand for 2,795 freighters to 2041; Asia-Pacific to take 38% of the future freighter fleet

The global freighter fleet is predicted to increase from 2,240 in 2021 to 3,610 by 2041. “While the air cargo market is returning to a more normal pace after experiencing historic demand in the last two years, structural factors including express network growth, evolving supply chain strategies and new cargo market entrants are driving sustained freighter demand,” Boeing vice president commercial marketing, Darren Hulst, said. “In the global transportation network, air freighters will continue to be a critical enabler to move high value goods in increased volume across expanding markets.” The Asia-Pacific is expected to take 38% of all freighter deliveries from now to 2041, the forecast said.
