Qantas Group lifts interim earnings guidance

Read More » The Australian company told the Australian Securities Exchange underlying profit before tax for the six months to December 31 is expected to range from A$1.35 billion (US$898 million) and A$1.45 billion, A$150 million above the previous estimate of A$1.2 billion to A$1.3 billion issued on October 13. The company posted an underlying loss before tax of A$1.3 billion in the first half of 2021/2022. Qantas said capacity remained “constrained” and that airline group – Qantas Airways and LCC Jetstar - was adding back capacity “as quickly as possible in the second half of the year while maintaining operational reliability”.
