Air India boosts European and U.S. networks

Read More » The daily Mumbai-New York JFK service will take off from February 14 served with 777-200LRs. The route joins Air India's existing Delhi-New York JFK and Mumbai-Newark. In Europe, the Star Alliance member is launching three nonstop routes – four times weekly Delhi-Milan from February 1, three times weekly Delhi-Vienna from February 18 and three times weekly Delhi-Copenhagen from March 1. All the European routes will be operated by 787-8s equipped with 18 business and 238 economy seats. The airline also is planning nonstop from Mumbai to Frankfurt and Paris, with launch dates and schedules to be announced in coming months. Air India CEO, Campbell Wilson, said the strengthening of the airline's international network was a key element of its five-year transformation plan. “The introduction of our non-stop flights to New York, Milan, Vienna, Copenhagen, Paris and Frankfurt, is another step in that journey, which will accelerate as our fleet expands,” Wilson said.
