All Nippon Airways (ANA) will introduce a plant-based ramen menu option for first and business class passengers travelling on its long-haul flights. Read More » The vegan-friendly dish, available from December 1, was developed with Chikaranomoto Holdings Co, the company behind the popular Ippudo ramen brand. The Star Alliance airline already offers a range of Ippudo ramen on its flights as well as vegan and plant-based choices. “Ippudo is a Japanese staple. We want our passengers to experience a taste of Japan regardless of dietary needs or culinary preferences,” ANA executive vice president for customer experience management and planning, Tomoji Ishii, said. “We will continue to innovate with our menu so every passenger can enjoy a comfortable and tasty in-flight experience". The vegan-friendly ramen also will be offered to passengers on some medium-haul routes.
