Air New Zealand reports domestic passengers dipped below one million for the month

Air New Zealand (Air NZ) said passengers travelling on its domestic network declined 15.1%, to 905,000 in October, from 1.1 million in September. Domestic passenger load factor for the 31 days was 90.1% compared with 87.5% in September and 70.2% in October 2021. Compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, the October result was 10,000 above the 895,000 domestic passengers the Star Alliance airline flew in October 2019. Domestic capacity, measured by available seat kilometres (ASK), was at 95.8% of pre-COVID-19 levels for the month.
