Royal Brunei Airlines appoints acting CEO to top job

In November, acting Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) CEO, Captain Sabirin Hj Abd Hamid, was confirmed as CEO of the Brunei flag carrier. Read More » Captain Sabirin, previously the airline’s chief operations officer, had been acting in the role since October 11, 2021. “With more than 30 years of airline experience to draw on, he is now responsible for ensuring RB continues to operate safely, reliably and sustainably as the airline goes through the pandemic,” RB said. Captain Sabirin is a graduate of RB’s cadet pilot program, moving through the ranks from flying RB’s Fokker Friendship F27s to its Boeing 757s and 767s.
