Air Canada has commenced nonstop to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi from its Vancouver (YVR) hub. Read More » The inaugural AC65, flown by 787-9 C-FVLZ, landed at Suvarnabhumi on December 3 after a 16.5 hour flight. The aircraft departed Bangkok on Sunday morning as the reciprocal AC66 to Vancouver. “We are thrilled to launch Air Canada's first nonstop service to Southeast Asia and the only nonstop flights between North America and Thailand,” Air Canada senior vice president for network planning and revenue management, Mark Galardo, said. “We have optimised connections to and from our trans-Pacific hub in Vancouver to give customers convenient options to explore this exciting city renowned for its history, cuisine and culture, or conduct international business. This new service is another step in our ambition to develop this hub into one of the most important trans-Pacific gateways in North America.” The Star Alliance member will fly the seasonal route four times a week until next March.
