Boeing 747 reaches the end of the line

Read More » The aircraft, a 747-8F freighter for Atlas Air, ends 54 years of production of the type that began in 1967. During that time, 1,574 747s were built. “For more than half a century, tens of thousands of dedicated Boeing employees have designed and built this magnificent airplane that has truly changed the world,” Boeing vice president and general manager for the 747 and 767 programs, Kim Smith, said. “We are proud this plane will continue to fly across the globe for years to come.” Boeing said the 747-8F is scheduled for delivery to Atlas Air in early 2023.
