Raytheon Technologies Corp subsidiary, Collins Aerospace, has opened a global engineering and technology centre (GETC) and a Collins India operations centre in Bengaluru. The company said around 3,000 engineers from three other Collins Aerospace locations in Bengaluru and about 600 personnel from other Raytheon Technologies group companies are moving to the new GETC.

Embraer has secured an order for three E190-E2s from Air Madagascar, with the first aircraft in the order scheduled for delivery in 2023.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) expects about 300 million litres of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to have to be produced in 2022, triple the 100 million litres of SAF output in 2021. The airline lobby association is calling on governments to offer comprehensive incentives to increase production of SAF.
