China Airlines carries 34.5% more passengers in November

Last month China Airlines (CAL) carried more than a third more passengers, at 269,589, against 200,366 travellers flown in October, CAL’s monthly traffic monitor reports. Read More » The November number was a 2,466% increase over the 10,508 air travellers CAL transported in the same month in 2021. The SkyTeam alliance airline booked passenger revenue of TW$3.3 billion (US$107 million) for the 30 days, up 36.6% from TW$2.7 billion in October and 1,073% higher than the TW$280 million it booked in November a year ago. In pre-pandemic November 2019, the flag carrier earned passenger revenue of TW$7.2 billion and transported 1.3 million air travellers. Passengers flown in the reported month were around a fifth of air travellers CAL transported pre-pandemic. Capacity, or available seat kilometres, was 54% of pre-COVID-19 levels.
