United Airlines books Boeing’s largest order for 787 family aircraft

Boeing has received an order for 100 787s from United Airlines (UA) with options for 100 more of the type. Read More » “The deal is the largest 787 Dreamliner order in Boeing history,” the OEM said. The aircraft are to be delivered from 2024 to 2032. UA has the flexibility to take the 787-8, 787-9 or 787-10 variant. The Star Alliance member also exercised options to purchase 44 more 737 MAXs for delivery between 2024 and 2026 and ordered an additional 56 of the type for acceptance by UA in 2027 and 2028. The Boeing website shows UA has taken delivery of 61 737 MAXs from Boeing, with another 347 on order. It also has received 64 787s and has an existing order for one more of the type.
