Air India and AirAsia India adjust domestic routes for network optimisation

Read More » Air India will cede services to Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar and Surat to AirAsia India and AirAsia India will hand over Delhi-Visakhapatnam and Mumbai-Lucknow to Air India. “The acquisition of AirAsia India, together with the restructuring and expansion of Air India, accords an unprecedented opportunity to optimise the group's flight network,” Air India CEO, Campbell Wilson, said. “Specifically, it allows us to better match routes with the most appropriate business model, focusing the full-service airline on metro-metro markets and high connectivity routes and the low-cost airline on more leisure oriented or price sensitive markets.”
