IndiGo launches three Middle East routes, increases European codeshares

India carrier, IndiGo, will commence daily services on three new international routes -Abu Dhabi-Chennai, Abu Dhabi-Hyderabad and Chennai-Muscat - in response to increasing passenger demand between India and the Gulf states. Read More » Separately, the LCC is expanding its international codeshare network by placing its 6E airline code on Turkish Airlines-operated flights from Istanbul to nine European countries, bringing its codeshares in Europe to 15 countries. “We have witnessed strong demand for international travel last year, especially to Europe,” IndiGo’s head of global sales, Vinay Malhotra, said.
