Air New Zealand posts US$133 million half year profit

Air New Zealand (Air NZ) has reported a net profit of NZ$213 million (US$133 million) for the six months to December 31 compared with a NZ$272 million net loss in the same months in 2021. Read More » Revenue increased 177%, to NZ$3.1 billion, Air NZ said in a regulatory filing. “Our recovery is well underway and operating performance is improving steadily. Like most airlines globally, we continue to experience challenges that at times make it hard for our fantastic team to deliver the level of service we expect of ourselves and our customers expect of us,” Air NZ CEO, Greg Foran, said. The airline forecasts full-year earnings, before other significant items and taxation, will range from NZ$450 million to NZ$530 million.
