SmartLynx receives Australian AOC

Cargo, charter and wet lease operator, SmartLynx, has received a foreign air transport operator certificate (FATOC) from Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA). Read More » The Latvia-headquartered company said the certificate allowed it to begin operations to, from and within Australia with A330 family aircraft. It added it will apply for CASA certification of its A320 and 737 family aircraft. “We are proud to start operations on the Australian continent,” SmartLynx Airlines CEO, Zygimantas Surintas, said. “The foreign air operator certification strengthens our competitive advantage when offering wet-lease services to international airlines and to tour operators operating or planning cross-continental flights to and from this destination.”
