Boeing calls temporary halt to 787 deliveries after certification review

Read More » The hiatus comes as Boeing was ramping up deliveries worldwide of its 787s following the resolution of manufacturing issues with the type. In the latest setback in the fortunes of the 787, Boeing discovered a supplier’s error in its analysis of the 787 forward pressure bulk head when it reviewed certification records of the type. Boeing has notified the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration of the error and has paused deliveries while it completed the required analysis and documentation, the company reported. Its production and delivery outlook for 2023 is unchanged, Boeing added.
