Asia-Pacific airlines to reach full recovery in 2024: AAPA report

At present, China accounts for a single digit percentage of Asia-Pacific passenger traffic, down from about 20% pre-pandemic, he added. AAPA data published in January showed Asia-Pacific airlines flew 105.4 million international passengers in 2022, about 28% of the 375.5 million international passengers transported by the region’s carriers in 2019, the last full year for air travel before the outbreak of the pandemic.
