Competition regulator extends review of Qantas-Alliance Air merger for fifth time

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has pushed back the conclusion of its review into Qantas Group’s proposed takeover of Australian regional and fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) operator, Alliance Aviation Services, to April 20. Read More » The competition regulator said it has delayed the announcement of its findings to obtain more information from the two parties concerned. In May last year, Qantas Group, which owns 19.9% of Alliance, announced it proposed to acquire 100% of the FIFO operator.
