Aviation services provider, AAR Corp, has acquired aircraft MRO and fleet management software company, Trax USA Corp, for US$120 million and an earn-out payment capped at US$20 million.

Aircraft Support Industries (ASI) and Etihad Engineering will collaborate in the construction of two wide-body hangars at the Abu Dhabi MRO facility. The project will expand the shop’s capacity to service the super large A380.

Auckland Airport is replacing its domestic terminal with a new facility integrated into its international facility. The new terminal will open between 2028 and 2029.

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited has confirmed personal data of some of current and former employees and “certain other individuals” was compromised when ransomware group Lockbit3.0 stole some of its data. The company disclosed the data security breach on March 7. It said affected individuals had received complimentary access to credit monitoring services and added there remained no impact on its business or operations.

Qantas Airways is revamping it’s on board food and beverage offerings and in its passenger lounge menus. They will include larger meal portions across all cabins, a wider selection of F&B offerings in the airline’s lounges and wider use of products from premium Australian food and wine producers.
