China Airlines orders three ATR turboprops for Mandarin Airlines subsidiary

Taiwan-headquartered China Airlines (CAL) has ordered three ATR 72-600 turboprops for its Mandarin Airlines unit, reports the company in a regulatory filing. Read More » The regional carrier flies nine 72-600s within Taiwan and also to China destinations, Hong Kong and Vietnam. The turboprops are configured with 70 seats in all-economy layouts. CAL, which listed the price as “not more than US$23 million per aircraft”, said the purchase is to meet the airline's fleet plan requirements.
