Air India has successfully migrated it’s “out dated” enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and associated software to RISE With SAP. Air India chief digital and technology officer, Satya Ramaswamy, said the migration of the decade-old ERP system to a modern cloud infrastructure is one of the most important steps in the airline's transformation and will result in significant improvements to operational efficiency.
Singapore Airlines, in a regulatory filing, said it had spent S$249.4 million (US$187 million) of the S$850 million gross proceeds raised from the sale of convertible bonds in 2020 on capital expenditure in relation to aircraft payments.
Malaysia-based UMW Aerospace has signed a fresh contract with Rolls-Royce to manufacture rear cases for Trent 1000 and Trent 7000 engines. The company will spend 65 million ringgit (US$15 million) to set up its Serendah facility to manufacture the rear cases.
