Air Niugini accelerating fleet renewal after Easter holiday schedule breakdowns

Read More » During the peak air travel period, Air Niugini aircraft had to be taken out of service for unscheduled maintenance. He added the airline had brought forward plans to refresh its fleet with 11 jet aircraft. In the meantime, the carrier will have another Q400 turboprop and also 737-800s flying its network by September. “This will improve Air Niugini’s schedule integrity until the new regional jets arrive. Our international services also will receive a boost with new wide-body orders being placed with Boeing,” Seddon said on Air Niugini's Facebook page. “We have accelerated plans to bring on additional fleet. This provides more reliability and greater value to our customers.” The airline operates Dash-8, Fokker and Boeing aircraft.
