Thailand monitoring airfares, encouraging added airline capacity

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) is prioritising airline requests for capacity increases to meet demand and hoping its approval of more available seats will exert downward pressure on ticket prices, government spokesperson, Anucha Burapachaisri, told local media at the close of last week.
