United Airlines to boost schedule to Australia and New Zealand

United Airlines (UA) is heading to Christchurch in December as part of its network and schedule expansion to Australia and New Zealand. Read More » On December 1, the Star Alliance member will commence three times a week nonstop San Francisco-Christchurch with 787-8s. It also will increase capacity from Los Angeles to Auckland, Brisbane and Melbourne and San Francisco to Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. UA plans to operate 66 flights a week to the two countries in the next northern hemisphere winter scheduling season, up 40% from the previous year. “Our strong partnerships with Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia provide unparalleled connectivity.
