India’s carriers increased domestic passengers by 6.8% in March

Airlines across India carried 12.9 million in-country passengers in March, 21.4% above the 10.6 million domestic passengers they flew in the same month in 2022. LCC IndiGo was the country’s leading domestic carrier for the 31 days with 7.3 million passengers, or 56.8% of the domestic market, followed by Tata’s Vistara at 1.15 million passengers (8.9% market share) and Air India at 1.14 million customers (8.8% market share).
