BOC Aviation trading update; high demand for aircraft

BOC Aviation CEO, Robert Martin, said the lessor booked strong figures for the first three months of 2023 as airlines restored capacity after the worst impacts of the pandemic eased. Read More » The company reported 23 transactions for the three months to March 31: purchase of three aircraft, delivery of two aircraft, sale of one aircraft and 13 lease commitments. “The first quarter of 2023 was a successful period for us,” Martin said. “At the end of the quarter, we had placed all new aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2023 and had lease commitments signed for all but one aircraft with leases expiring this year. It reflects strong demand among the world’s airlines for modern technology aircraft. Our collection rate was 103% for the quarter, demonstrating the improving financial health of our airline customers and the speed with which they are recovering from the pandemic.”
