China to end PCR test requirement for international arrivals

From April 29, all travellers to China would no longer be required to provide evidence of a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test result for COVID-19, local media reported, citing comments from a Ministry of Foreign Affairs offical. Read More » Instead, passengers would be able to indicate a negative rapid antigen test result. Since March 1, China has allowed travellers from some countries to provide a negative result for COVID-19 from a rapid antigen test, with the list of eligible countries expanded further earlier this month. Airlines were not required to verify the result from these tests.
