Go First extends flight cancellations; lessors pressure LCC to return aircraft

It also filed for insolvency at the National Company Law Tribunal, prompted by issues with its Pratt & Whitney engines. “We regret, due to operational reasons, that Go First flights scheduled till May 12, 2023 have been cancelled,” the carrier said on its website. “We acknowledge the flight cancellations might have disrupted your travel plans and we are committed to providing all the assistance we can.” The privately-held airline is owned by Wadia Group. India's Directorate-General of Civil Aviation website shows lessors have applied to export 20 Go First aircraft under an Irrevocable De-registration and Export Request Authorisations (IDERA).
