Air New Zealand starts onshore repainting of Q300s with back up from Airbus

Read More » “These eight turboprops are the remaining aircraft in the Star Alliance member's fleet to have the Teal, or Pacific Wave, livery,” Air NZ said. It will take the airline's engineering and maintenance teams, based in Blenheim and supported by Airbus, about four months to strip and repaint the eight airplanes in the airline’s current livery, it added. “We are excited about this opportunity to work with Airbus on the repainting of these planes that will help connect our customers to the regions,” Air NZ group general manager of engineering and maintenance, Brett Daley, said. “It is the first time the aircraft have been fully stripped and repainted in New Zealand and also the first time Air New Zealand has used these facilities.”
