Air France-KLM has entered into exclusive discussions with Apollo Global Management for a 500 million euro (US$548 million) financing deal involving one of its MRO businesses. The funding will strengthen its balance sheet, the company said, and added the transaction will have no impact on staff contracts.

Europe’s Ryanair and Boeing have confirmed the LCC’s firm order for 150 737 MAX 10s and options for another 150 of the type.

Eve Holding said in its first quarter 2023 results its development milestones are unchanged. It will conclude the selection of main equipment suppliers by June 30 and start assembly of its first full-scale electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) prototype in the second half of this year. The test campaign is scheduled to begin in 2024.

New Malaysian carrier, MYAirline, has signed an agreement with Honeywell for maintenance of its A320 auxiliary power units.

SIA Engineering Company’s (SIAEC) net profit declined by 1.8%, to S$66.4 million (US$50 million), in the 12 months to March 31, from S$67.6 million a year ago. The “worst of the COVID-19 crisis is clearly behind us”, SIAEC said, and added it looked forward not only to recovering to pre-COVID business volume but to emerging stronger. “However, with flight recovery already close to 80%, the pace is expected to be slower than last year,” SIAEC said.
