AirAsia Malaysia will commence nonstop Kuala Lumpur to Guilin three times a week and to Quanzhou twice a week from July 18 and June 18, respectively. Read More » Additionally sister carrier, AirAsia X, will begin flying from Malaysia’s capital city to Chengdu Tianfu on July 1. “Following the recent re-opening of China to the world and strong pent-up demand, our rapid expansion into China continues. We are proud to connect millions of guests not only to major destinations but to underserved second tier cities and also launch unique routes such as Quanzhou and Guilin,” AirAsia Malaysia CEO, Riad Asmat, said. AirAsia X CEO, Benyamin Ismail, added: “China has historically been one of our core destinations for medium haul air travel. Our newest route to Chengdu serves as the foundation for more AirAsia X flights to China in the near future.”
