Delta Air Lines and Korean Air celebrate five years of trans-Pacific JV

Korean Air (KAL) president, Keehong Woo, said the airline's trans-Pacific joint-venture with Delta Air Lines had delivered "exceptional convenience and services", with up to 18 flights a day between Seoul Incheon and the U.S. and covering 290 destinations in the Americas alongside 80 destinations in 44 countries across Asia. Read More » The two Skyteam alliance members recently celebrated five years of their partnership, which had flown seven million customers since it launched in May 2018. The pair said the number of Delta and KAL connecting passengers at Seoul Incheon had risen by 40% over the past five years to about 2,000 a day. Delta executive vice president for external affairs, Peter Carter, said the U.S. carrier and KAL had the leading position in the trans-Pacific market.
