Indonesia AirAsia adds second Perth route

Indonesia AirAsia (IAA) has commenced four times weekly nonstop flights between Perth and Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Read More » It is the LCC's second route to the Western Australia capital alongside its existing Denpasar-Perth service. The inaugural flight QZ532, operated by A320 registration PK-AXD, took off from Jakarta a little after 1800 local time on Friday (June 2) and landed in Perth about four hours later. The aircraft was on the ground for about an hour before departing as the reciprocal QZ533 a few minutes after midnight. "This is the first time Indonesia AirAsia has ever flown on this route – thanks to our tourism and airport partners for helping to make these new services a reality," Indonesia AirAsia,head of Indonesia affairs and policy, Eddy Krismeidi Sumawilaga, said, adding demand for the service was very encouraging.
