China Airlines update reports 4% dip in passengers last month

Taiwan’s China Airlines (CAL) said passenger numbers declined to 765,215 in May from 797,315 customers in April. Read More » The SkyTeam alliance member booked passenger revenue of TW$7.6 billion (US$249 million) for the 31 days against TW$8.1 billion in the previous month. But passengers and revenue were higher by 2,149.4% and 1,463.7%, respectively, against May 2022. Compared with pre-COVID operations, CAL's May data was 59.4% of the 1.3 million passengers it carried in May 2019 and 99.2% of the TW$7.7 billion earned in passenger revenue in the matching 2019 month.
