Air New Zealand and national government to conduct Sustainable Aviation Fuel study

Read More » Air NZ will contribute NZ$1.5 million to the project and the government NZ$765,000. “Globally, SAF is in very high demand, but in limited supply,” Air NZ chief sustainability officer, Kiri Hannifin, said. “Commercially producing SAF in New Zealand will not only lower the country's emissions but create jobs, support regional economic development and Māori and Iwi investment opportunities. Also, it will provide energy security and energy independence which New Zealand does not have.”
